Asset managers required yearly reports of each real-estate property within a fund. Initially, the client wanted to have a split workflow — questionnaires to be done on site and then have the report finished on a desktop computer to produce a PDF. The ultimate solution would actually allow the total management and workflow to be completed entirely via a high-resolution iPad.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Personas: A split user group was made of younger excited users and older employees who were resistant to new technology changes. Getting them to adhere to a standard report format alone was a challenge.
- Technology: Syncing large, high-resolution photos to and from the master database without always having a wi-fi connection became a late launch issue.
- Workflows: There were many workflows and reminders needed: mini-workflows within larger workflows; and tracking the status of everything was a requirement of the MVP.
