The Global Marketing department needed an app that was able to show density and scheduling of all marketing efforts at a glance. In addition, drilling down into the details and the relationships between marketing efforts (e.g., Brand Awareness advertising as it related to Channel Activities) were core requirements. Here are some unique ideas that were inspired by focusing on the relationships and removing the overall defined space. I had a ton of fun with this challenge!



HIGHLIGHTS

  • Information Architecture: Probably the hardest challenge was trying to figure out the relationships of each marketing effort and how a user would be able to zoom in and out to get further details while also maintaining a sense of where they were.

  • Usability: Connecting lots of data points with animation and when to fire what due to loading interdependencies became very complicated quickly. In the end, these designs were more sensational rather than practical.
