The Chanler at Cliff Walk is a Five-Star Forbes resort and restaurant located in Newport, RI. The launch of an exclusive worldwide partnership with Ca’ del Bosco wines and The Chanler’s new Wine Garden required production, art direction, and design services for their website and garden menu.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Art Direction: The lighting provided both great color and mood. A guest can feel the warmth of the sun, and the relief of the cool shade simultaneously. Shooting from behind bushes evoked a voyeuristic sensation that made the garden feel secret and precious.
  
  
• Writing: Website and menu text was created from researching the story and history of Ca’ del Bosco wines. A “house in the woods” to “city by the sea” had both a nice flowing cadence as well as being descriptive and meaningful.
  
  

• Menu Design: The design of the wine menu was inspired by the unique umbrellas. The abstract simple shapes not only blurs the boundaries of what is the sky versus the object, but also directs the eye distinctively towards the menu’s title.
